How It Works
One Image.
One Space.
Every NickyFinn license is structured so your space is the only one that holds it. No stock libraries. No resale. Photography that cannot be replicated because the terms make replication impossible.
Three structures below. All are negotiated directly — no checkout, no cart, no off-the-shelf pricing. Reach out and we'll build the right agreement from the start.
Exclusive License
The image leaves the collection. Permanently yours.
- Full Exclusivity
The image is removed from all future sales and licensing. No other client, space, or institution can ever hold it.
- Perpetual Term
Rights are granted in perpetuity. No renewal, no expiration, no renegotiation.
- Unlimited Display Size
Print at any dimension — from a 13×19 proof to a 120-inch lobby installation.
- All Physical Display Contexts
Interior display, exterior signage, printed collateral, and printed brand materials. All in-person viewing formats.
- Worldwide Territory
All geographies. Multi-property groups may display across all branded locations.
- Fine Art Print Delivery
NickyFinn coordinates print production directly through an approved fine art lab. You receive a finished, exhibition-ready physical print — no digital files are supplied.
- Certificate of Authenticity
Signed letter documenting exclusivity, image metadata, and acquisition date.
Ideal for
Flagship hotel lobbies and feature walls. Hospital atriums and healing-environment installations. Design firms building a permanent visual identity for a client property.
Rights-Managed License
Defined use. Defined term. Renewable.
- Usage-Specific Grant
Rights are scoped by medium, size, duration, and geography — you pay for exactly the use you need.
- Defined Term
Initial agreements are structured for 1, 3, or 5 years. Renewal is available at the original rate for the first term.
- Single-Property Use
Rights are granted to one physical location or one digital property. Multi-property groups require a separate agreement per site.
- Print Size Parameters
Maximum print dimensions are specified in the agreement — scaling up triggers a straightforward amendment.
- Interior Display Only
Standard grant covers interior physical display. Exterior and printed collateral use are available as add-on scopes. No digital use of any kind is included.
- Fine Art Print Delivery
NickyFinn coordinates print production at the agreed dimensions through an approved lab. A finished physical print is delivered — no digital files are supplied.
- Non-Exclusive
The image may be licensed to other clients in different geographies or contexts — never to a direct competitor within the same market and zip code.
Ideal for
Interior design firms on a project-by-project basis. Healthcare systems refreshing spaces on a renovation cycle. Hotel groups managing art programs across a defined portfolio.
Commercial Print License
Reproduction rights for print vendors and framers.
- Print Reproduction Grant
Covers the right to print and frame the image for resale or client delivery. Does not include digital display or brand collateral.
- Edition Cap
Agreements define a maximum print run — typically 10, 25, or 50 units. Additional editions require a new agreement.
- Approved Vendors Only
Printing must be done through a pre-approved fine art print vendor. A short approved list is provided with the agreement.
- Size and Medium Specified
Agreement locks in substrate (archival paper, metal, canvas, acrylic) and maximum print dimensions.
- Attribution Required
All prints must carry the NickyFinn credit and edition number on the verso. A label template is provided.
- Physical Print Delivery
NickyFinn coordinates production at the agreed dimensions and substrate through an approved fine art lab. Finished prints are delivered ready for framing — no digital files are supplied.
- Non-Exclusive
Same image may be licensed to other print vendors in non-competing territories. Exclusive print rights available at the Exclusive tier.
Ideal for
Fine art framing shops building a curated catalog. Hospitality vendors sourcing art for hotel room programs. Interior design studios delivering turn-key art installations.

Common Questions
How is pricing determined?
Pricing is based on license type, intended use, display size, territory, and term. Every inquiry starts with a conversation — not a rate card. Most Exclusive licenses are negotiated in the range of five to six figures; Rights-Managed agreements vary widely by scope.
Can I license a specific image I saw in the collection?
Yes. If an image is still available in the collection, it is available to license. Exclusive licenses remove the image from future availability; Rights-Managed licenses do not. Use the inquiry form below and reference the image — film stock caption, category, and any description helps.
What if I need a custom commission instead of an existing image?
Custom commissions are available on a limited basis. The brief, timeline, and intended use define the scope. Commissioned work is typically delivered under an Exclusive license and priced accordingly. Reach out to start the conversation.
Does NickyFinn retain copyright?
Yes. All licenses grant usage rights — they do not transfer copyright. NickyFinn retains full authorship and copyright of all images in perpetuity, regardless of license type. Exclusive licenses simply guarantee no other party can use the image.
How is the image delivered?
NickyFinn coordinates print production directly through an approved fine art lab. You receive a finished physical print — sized, substrate-matched, and ready for framing or installation. No JPGs or digital files are supplied under any license tier. The original negative and all digital scan files are retained by NickyFinn.
Can I use a licensed image on my website or social media?
No. NickyFinn licenses are exclusively for physical, in-person display. Digital reproduction — website, social media, digital signage, screensavers, or any screen-based use — is not available under any tier. The work is made for physical spaces and licensed accordingly.
How long does the agreement process take?
Most agreements are finalized within 5–10 business days of the initial inquiry. Larger institutional deals with procurement review cycles can take longer — start early if you're working toward a renovation or opening date.
Do you work with procurement departments and legal teams?
Yes. Institutional clients with vendor onboarding requirements, W-9 requests, insurance certificates, or legal review cycles are common. The process is built to accommodate these without friction.
